Following the success of her 2002 quintet album, Side A, acclaimed Canadian pianist and composer Sharon Minemoto delivers a wonderful new trio recording, You can see the ocean from here.
With memorable compositions and sparkling new arrangements of classic standards, this collection of songs is set to be one of the highlights from west coast jazz releases this spring. Bassist Paul Rushka and drummer Paul Townsend make for a delightfully swinging pairing to which Minemoto’s fingers can dance. Special guest appearance by multiple award winner, co-producer and recording engineer Brad Turner on flugelhorn.
